Sustainable tourism commitment

Since 2015, the Espace Hermeline is committed in the 2nd part of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. The 2nd part of the Charter is the creation of a partnership between the Regional Natural Park Périgord-Limousin and a willing local company in order to improve its practices regarding sustainable tourism.

The European Charter of Sustainable Tourism is based on one principle: progress. The Regional Nature Park is in charge of accompanying touristic actors to progress durably on tourism sustainability. Touristic companies in this system can obtain an accreditation “Partner of the ECST” and becomes part of the Regional Nature Park Périgord-Limousin sustainable tourism network.

On October 6th 2015, Espace Hermeline has officially committed to respecting this sustainable process and the Regional Nature Park Périgord-Limousin has delivered them a three-years certificate. This means the Espace Hermeline commits to respect the sustainable tourism principles :

•  To respect and preserve natural ressources through waste management and the maintenance of green spaces

•  To participate in local economic development

•  To contribute to the fulfilment of the persons living or staying temporarily in the Regional Nature Park

•  To take every environmental and social aspects into account on a daily basis

•  To welcome all publics in protected areas
