Adapted for handicaps
Espace Hermeline has been part of an experimental and conscious approach proposing tourism and leisure activities adapted for handicaps and persons with limited mobility.
In 2013, Espace Hermeline launched a development program of its site, in partnership with the Châtaigneraie Limousine in order to give access to its activities and welcome as many people as possible.
This commitment represents since 2013 :
• The creation of 3 adapted parking spots
• The creation of a camping**,
• The creation of a path from the entrance of the site to the reception desk with a specific pavement
• The implementation of adapted picnic tables near the lake and in the railbike picnic area
• The creation of 2 fishing docks

2014
→ The creation of a suitable sanitary block (shower, toilets, sink…)
→ A camping car terminal
→ A dry toilet on the railbike track (mid-way in the picnic area)
2015
→ The expansion of the camping sanitary block with the creation of a baby changing facilities
→ The provision of railbike with electric assistance allowing persons with limited mobility, seniors and one-parent family to enjoy the activity as well.
2016
→ The wagons rehabilitation of the railbike activity in partnership with the Regional Nature Park of Périgord-Limousin into an inside scenography called “Dins la Natura” which goal is to present the natural heritage around 3 themes (earth, air and water)
2017
→ The implementation of a lift to access the “Dins la Natura” scenography provided by the Regional Nature Park Perigord-Limousin
→ The development of an additional parking spot to access the railbike
La commune de Bussière-Galant a réalisé ces travaux avec les co-financements de l’Union Européenne avec le Fonds Européen Agricole pour le Développement Rural dans le cadre du programme Leader Châtaigneraie Limousine et la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
2020
→ The creation of a path from the reception desk to the tourist mini train with a suitable pavement
